Our role in extending the service life of this dock crane was to replace two crane sheaves with bearing damage.
Due to storms and severe wind with gusts up to 15 m/s, we weren’t able to get to work as planned – telescopic cranes aren’t allowed to work at those wind speeds. The only option was to postpone the task until the weekend. Despite staff shortages, we were able to get the work done thanks to our engineer Matthias, who put off his family skiing holiday for a day so that he could help out our customer in this emergency.
